Our CM and TCP minister have recently spent quite a few days in Karnataka campaigning for the saffron party candidates in the election fray ignoring their official duties. It defies all logic why these two gents would go to the neighbouring state which has been busy diverting Goa's share of the Mhadei river waters ; a short while ago the good doctor was all fire and brimstone threatening to drag Karnataka to the Supreme Court for this. It doesn't stop here, the Goa government has declared May 10 as a paid holiday for Karnataka's casual labourers, daily wagers, contract workers and private sector employees who are working in the state. This ridiculous and contemptible resolution which subverts the interests of the Goan industry, commerce and business is only aimed at reaping electoral dividends for BJP in the neighbouring state and sets a bad precedent for the future. We won't be surprised if in the coming days, holidays will be given for panchayat elections in Maharashtra. Could someone remind Sawant that he is the CM of Goa, not Karnataka?
