Panaji’s KTC bus terminus is supposed to be the most prestigious of all stands in Goa, but the condition of the premises is a mess. Missing dustbins, tonnes of muck, haphazardly parked transport vehicles and what have you.
Add to that tin sheds masquerading as bus shelters, and one gets the feeling of arriving in a fourth-world country the moment one alights from the bus. Whatever happened to the Panaji Smart City project, which was supposed to uplift the standards of the city and make it world-class? Are the city fathers sleeping?
