Panaji to suffer this monsoon

CM Pramod Sawant was seen casually inspecting a few select places in St Inez on Saturday, 1st June, wearing fashionable sunglasses. He later defended and promoted Panaji MLA Babush Monserate, claiming that nearly 90% of the Smart City work was complete, with only 10% remaining. This is misleading, as almost 30% of the work is still pending and will take another year to finish. Additionally, where are the two High Court judges who made a show of inspecting Panaji’s streets and set a deadline of 31st May for completing the Smart City works? Why haven’t they returned to check on the city’s condition and hold officials accountable for failing to meet their promises? It seems the residents of Panaji might need to keep boats on standby and life jackets ready, as many areas are likely to be submerged during the coming monsoons due to the incomplete work.
