The Margao Municipal Council building which is in the heart of Margao City will be completing 118 years this year and the busy MMC building is waiting for the maintenance work and a fresh coat of paint. The BJP government and the Margao and Fatorda MLAs should together solve the issues and problems in the MMC which have been there for years. All the maintenance of the building should be taken care of to keep the historical building safe. The main reason why the employees have to wait for their salary is that most of the shop owners are not paying their shop rents on time neither they have trade licence and today 90 per cent of shops in Margao are run by migrants. Only 10 per cent shops owners are niz Goenkar. Hope the government of Goa, DMA, Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, councillors and the other authorities linked to MMC will solve problems which are pending for years and celebrate the 118 years of MMC by giving best service to the citizens and completely new look to the building with a fresh coat of paint.
