It amazes me how Goa's deceitful government is deliberately fooling Goans over the Dabolim airport. The CM says that his government will not allow Dabolim to close; is this a guarantee only when his government is in power? Any credible government will first do proper planning and have a clear way before going ahead with a project. As the Mopa airport is near completion, the Goa government still has no clear idea on how Dabolim airport will operate! If they were really serious about it, they would have announced a plan long before Mopa airport was commissioned It looks to me like they just want to fool the people of Mormugao into being calm and buy as much time as possible!
Cities with much more air traffic like Bengaluru had to close the old airport when the new one started operation. How are the politicians of Goa planning to keep a second airport economically viable in a State with significantly lesser air traffic? Sorry to say this but the Mormugao electorate deserves all of this as they kept returning a highly corrupt MLA to the assembly for so many terms.
