Panaji Police have arrested history sheeter and alleged main conspirator Zenito Cardozo in connection with the assault on social activist Rama Kankonkar from a city-based hotel on Sunday. Speaking to reporters, Superintendent of Police (North) Rahul Gupta have informed that based on interrogation of the seven arrested accused and evidence gathered, his investigation team have come to the conclusion that Cardozo alone may have allegedly given a contract to the assailants to “trash” Rama Kankonkar. The arrested history-sheeter Cardozo is a well-known right-hand man of a prominent powerful politician from the cabinet and who must have instructed his gang members to carry out that brutal attack against Rama Kankonkar on last Thursday at Caranzalem at the behest of this very same politician. SP Gupta should instruct his investigation team to continue conducting further investigation to get to the bottom of this case rather than casually fooling Goans by claiming that the case has already been solved with the arrest of history-sheeter Cardozo just to protect the main mastermind /godfather politician of all the above arrested goons & who is still sitting in the cabinet of Sawant-led BJP government in Goa.
