It is shocking to see what is happening in our Goa where troublemakers without any fear of God want to create a religious divide among people. We in Goa have always lived together as one family respecting every religion and its beliefs. The incident at Sancoale Church premises where a few people came to do their ritual undermined the Catholic Church and its belief. Devotees from all over India and Sri Lanka visit this church during the novenas of the patron St Joseph Vaz, which will begin on January 7. The feast day is on January 16. The Church authority in Goa has to rise to the occasion and protect the Sancoale church land. The government and police should take action against the troublemakers before they return to create more trouble.
