The political circus involving the Congress party in Punjab does not seem to be coming to an end any time soon. The several twists and turns makes it all the more interesting. So, finally the lead joker and former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has quit the pack and his associates are set to follow suit.
The Captain Amarinder Singh has bolted to Delhi and the Congress leadership in Delhi are clueless as to how to handle the leadership conundrum in Punjab, which they themselves are responsible for to a great extent.
All political parties however need to understand that they cannot afford to trust turncoats in the long run. At the end of the day, what is happening presently in the poll bound states is bad for a democracy.
