Are there good and bad politicians? The top chief ministerial aspirants have promised to stop the 3 linear projects in Goa. All these projects --except the transmission line one -- have crossed 60% completion and are passed by the Centre. They are not State subjects.
Now, the offshore casinos are a Goa State subject. Did any of these leaders say they will remove the same from the Mandovi? No. This aside: offshore vessels must have onboard Sewage Treatment Plants- yet the crap generated is transferred in broad daylight to the land STP! This is open defecation and embraced by the Panjimites! CoP, the MMD, and various bodies are all turning a blind eye to this violation. Businesses must follow the law. For all politicians in Goa and Delhi, the casinos is the law. A true MLA of Panjim would set this right and also enforce the international maritime laws for ballast water treatment as well. Goa’s malady has been ‘compromise’ and praise people for their proxy relationships and not their work for the people. Their prowess lies in their skills to convince they are ‘of’ and ‘for’ the people!
