Power debate: Why was common man kept out?


A lot of interest had been generated on the power debate between Nilesh Cabral and Satyender Jain and a huge crowd was seen outside Institute Menezes Braganza on Monday.

Sadly, police had condoned the area and the common man was not allowed entry.

What I fail to understand is, why was such a hype created about this debate if people were not allowed to witness it? What is the purpose of this kind of a debate being held behind closed doors? 

I being a senior citizen too was not allowed entry. It would really have been interesting to watch in person how our power minister would reply to AAP’s offer to provide free electricity to Goans.
