Education is the process of acquiring skills, knowledge, values, beliefs, integrity and habits. Education is also the nurturing of inquisitive minds to churn out a truly educated person like you and me. A truly educated person for me is: One who has an open heart-mind to learn something which he/she doesn't know, willing to improve, someone who has his/her own thought process and doesn't follow others blindly before taking any decision after weighing the pros and cons meticulously. Importantly, knows his/her responsibility towards society without any ego or pride. I am proud of another Canacona academic icon, Abhida Barreto who stood first at NEET exams securing 99.93% in the whole of Goa -- do you know what that means to our Goa, her parents, family and patriotic Goans like us. Canacona have produced some hidden educated stars today, who at senior level manage banks, schools, colleges, hospitals, courts, government offices, etc ... Abhida will one day be ranked as Major Abhida servicing our Indian Army in the medical field, be rest assured!
