Frequently we see in newspapers the photos of cops with their prize catch of culprit/s of both genders. Ever so often the cops are sitting and culprits are standing, sometimes vice-versa!
At times all are either sitting or standing! The stolen items or implements used during the crimes are sporadically displayed as in a museum.
The important point is, why are the faces of the culprits sometimes covered and occasionally not? It would be sensible to cover the cops’ faces so that the public would not recognise them and it will be easier to catch offenders.
The culprits’ faces should be exposed to help the people to be wary and perhaps even be informants to the cops. Of course, everyone likes their 15 minutes of fame, but are there any protocols for the photo-shoot by the law enforcers?
