Provide shed for motorcycle pilots

The class of motorcycle pilots tends to be an important one in our society. Although the concerned authorities have allotted specific spots to motorcycle pilots for continuing their trade, still they do not possess any protective cover either during summer season or the monsoons.

Amidst heavy rains, they remain to be the worst sufferers in the process. Still they occupy the area with great ease as this tends to be the sole source of livelihood to them.

In Ponda, we notice such pilots occupying the open area at old bus-stand, opposite Hotel Menino near Goa Bagayatdar, Hotel Sangam at Upper Bazaar, and also in the vicinity of Bank of India.

It is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to consider their plight and initiate prompt favourable action in erecting sheds for this class of people so that they can continue their trade with interest.

Let us hope that prompt favourable action would follow soon.
