Provide tarpaulin cover for garbage vehicles

In Ponda, vehicles of Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) engaged in the collection of garbage do not possess a covering of any sort. Hence travellers and pedestrians proceeding along the road face inconvenience as they are unable to bear the stench emerging from such vehicles. One vehicle of this competent authority containing garbage is often parked at the sharp turn adjacent to the municipal garden in the late evening. The existing garbage is not covered on most occasions. By the time this vehicle is taken for clearance of garbage the next morning, public at large proceeding along this location face great inconvenience due to the foul smell emanating from the accumulated garbage. As on Friday, January 8, at 10:15 am, an empty vehicle of PMC (bearing Registration No GA05 T-4085) proceeding towards Bank of India at Kaziwada carried garbage, which was stinking. These vehicles need to be washed regularly with disinfectant liquid. Above all, covering garbage vehicles with tarpaulin on regular basis would go a long way in assuring relief to people. Let us hope that the higher officials at the PMC would take note of this important suggestion and provide tarpaulin cover to all vehicles engaged in the collection of garbage on a priority basis.
