Queue system for water sport operators

Finally, the Tourism Department has decided to implement the much-needed queue system for water sports operators. This will help streamline and regulate activities, ensuring safety, transparency, and uniformity. Ticket rates and timings will be imposed to remove existing discrepancies. Unauthorised operators and those without licenses and registrations will be rooted out.

If the above procedures are quickly and diligently implemented, there will be a level playing field for those who have invested in the water sports business. Customers will be happy that they are not being fleeced and that their safety is not compromised by operators who do not have proper equipment. The government will also benefit, as ticket sales will be accounted for, which is not the case at present. Hopefully, the authorities will not make an about-turn after a few days and shelve the queue system.
