Ravindra Bhavan is the most prestigious cultural hub in Margao, with exhibitions, tiatr performances, seminars, art workshops, book fairs, etc., being held on its premises all year round. Its open-air stage is used for dance/music performances too. In fact, RB is hosting a few open-air film screenings as part of the ongoing IFFI. However, as one moves around the property, one witnesses blights like peeling plaster, flaking paint, mildewed and damp walls, broken steps, ill-ventilated toilets, etc. Maintenance doesn’t seem to be one of the strong points of the city fathers who manage the building. Requesting the trustees to keep the building shipshape.
