It is well known that Goa’s land, hills, water bodies, fields, coasts are getting devastated both by lack of proper legislations and also by massive violations of the existing laws with ministers and administration looking the other way.
The government no doubt is seized of the issue and has come out with stronger legislations and stringent punishment for officials and real estate companies to preserve what is left of Goa.
However, of late the government is passing quite a few controversial legislations which will further increase a lot of corruption and send Goa to the “grave” by mass approvals to so many real estate projects.
Goa’s unique selling point for a long time has been its greenery, non polluted environment, pristine land and water bodies, beautiful coasts, low level of real estate development etc.
Have Goans wondered what will happen to Brand Goa once all these have been destroyed? Politicians have made crores of rupees for themselves and their generations due to the apathy of the Goan majority!
