A LED fixture over an electrical pole along the Adpai jetty in Ponda has been missing for quite some time. In the absence of the said fixture, darkness has been noticed at this area thereby putting pedestrians to inconvenience while proceeding along this strategic jetty.
Many people proceed for work along the Adpai jetty towards Rassaim, Verna, Vasco and the neighbouring areas. In the absence of illumination on the road, they have to proceed through darkness near this particular electrical pole.
Linesmen of the electricity department deputed at this location have failed to rectify this particular defect at the appropriate time.
Even pleas to elected representatives of the local village panchayat viz the VP of Adpai-Durbhat who are supposed to work in the welfare of the people have fallen on deaf ears.
Officials at the electricity department in Ponda must take note of above matter and arrange necessary re-installation of the missing LED fixture on priority basis so that proper illumination is assured on the road.
No doubt, public at large need to be assured necessary relief at once without any further delay.
