At the junction situated at Shantinagar in Ponda, a traffic signboard depicting the existence of a speed-breaker is missing from the spot. In the absence of the signboard, two-wheeler riders can be caught off guard and possibly lose control of their bikes. This would certainly have adverse consequences. The authorities concerned must re-install an alternate signboard on an immediate basis so that the motorists are made aware of the speed breaker while riding or driving on this stretch. Similarly, a signboard (also depicting the existence of a speed-breaker) opposite Sitara Motors in the vicinity of the above junction is covered by bushes. It is totally useless and is not serving its basic purpose of guiding vehicle riders. It would be appropriate to reinstall the same at this spot to avoid any incident.
