Outside the main gate of St Anthony church in Siolim, a reputed company ORRA has erected a big flexiboard on the electricity pole without taking into consideration the road safety issue of thousands of motorists that use this MDR-6 road. Parishioners who visit the church for services and other religious ceremonies have to face difficulty while coming out of the church premises. Will the electricity department concerned fine the company and remove the same immediately or wait for an accident to happen? The village panchayat along with the village road safety committee and the Anjuna traffic police should take note and act too. It is time notices have to be issued to these companies/establishments who give contracts and forget their responsibilities.
