The Ponda police reportedly arrested seven members of the Revolutionary Goans for openly questioning CM Dr Pramod Sawant on unemployment, bad roads etc and for allegedly creating a ruckus at a meeting held at Shiroda recently.
This clearly shows that Sawant is very much allergic towards any kind of criticism and due to which he expects even the youngsters of today to simply sit dumb like helpless spectators for his meetings.
Unfortunately, Sawant should know that he's not a dictator but a elected representative of the people of Goa. He therefore needs to learn to give answers for all the questions in a most transparent manner and give complete accountability of his government without threatening anyone or by simply going on a defensive in Goa.
Yes, being a CM, Sawant should henceforth stop behaving like a dictator but learn to listen to the people's grievances, solve their each and every problem or else should gracefully resign immediately.
Right to protest is a democratic fundamental right and no one can take that right away from Goans, not even the CM of Goa. Hope Sawant does understand this one important thing.
