The establishment housing Bank of India in Chinchinim and other businesses and their staffers are forced to park their vehicles on either side of the narrow lane. The children from the convent school are forced to negotiate their way to and from school. The parking on either side, boundary wall of the ground, buildings, movement of vehicles reduces the access for pedestrians. The immediate solution is to designate the narrow lane from main road as no parking zone during school hours. Students of two schools, higher secondary and church goers are forced to cross the main road. Hence a speed breaker or zebra crossing will add to the safety of students. It could be manned by traffic police and the students of the 3 institutions could be trained to regulate traffic during school hours. The heritage comunidade house and bus stop turn it into a deadly blind spot. The bus stop must be relocated. The four-road junction has been a scene of deadly accidents. The panchayat, elected representative, PTA have not yet taken a serious view of dangers posed to students.
