Goa is known for its sand and beaches, and during the winter season, we can observe the role of seagulls on the beaches. The white-colored seagulls play an important role in cleaning beach shores. Additionally, these birds play a vital role in keeping the sand clean by consuming small insects. Recently, seagulls were spotted around the shores of Caranzalem Beach between 7 am and 9 am.
Last month, a tourist vehicle was fined for driving on Arrosim Beach and causing harm to seagull birds on the shore. These birds are precious and contribute to ecological balance; therefore, they should not be disturbed during their visits. The beach environment is crucial for natural beauty, and these birds play a balancing role during the winter season. Goa will witness many such birds in this season, especially in North Goa.
