We the residents of House No 1/133-A Gauravaddo, Calangute state that our neighbouring property owners bearing survey No 120/9-A and 121/2-C at Gauravaddo have their raw sewage and waste water overflowing and seeping through our perimeter wall directly into our private property 24/7 since the past several days . The sewage and waste water released, is stinking and directly fouling up our living environment as well as our drinking water wells. We, being senior citizens with health issues and depleting immunity, can no longer afford to stay silent on the matter. Earlier, we had drawn the attention of Calangute Sarpanch and the Health Officer on January 12, 2022 in writing with photographs and videos. Sadly, no positive action has been taken and the issue remains unresolved till date. When we complained again on May 15 this year he visited the site with the VP Secretary without serving inspection notice and started blaming the complainants. We had approached our Calangute MLA Michael Lobo and appraised him of the grave situation we are facing more than once although he personally visited the site and gave assurance to resolve the long pending issue. Can we senior citizens get justice from our government?
