The Smart City officials were desperately trying to make 'April Fool' of the two High Court judges who were supposed to visit the Smart City work sites at Panaji for inspection on Monday.
In fact, the contractors of the Smart City Project with the help of their labourers were seen hurriedly sweeping roads, cleaning them by sprinkling water from tankers since Saturday and desperately trying to spruce up Panjim city until the last minute on Monday. Why? Were the two High Court judges who were coming to do the inspection of the smart City work sites at Panjim on Monday European foreigners or tourists? Well, as far as everyone knows, both the judges are Panjimites and are well-versed with the city. And now that they have finally done the inspection of the Smart City work sites on Monday, I just hope that they both will take strong action against the Smart City officials/contractors sooner or later for deliberately carrying out the ongoing work of the Smart City Project in a most unprofessional manner in slow motion and for unnecessarily harassing Panjimites/Goans in general for the last two years for no reason in Goa.
