Banks must honour the directives for home services for the senior citizens, especially with severe physical disabilities. Lack of staff, absence due to leave, vacancies on hold has put the good intentions in jeopardy.
Under such circumstances in the backdrop of Covid pandemic, customers with severe disability cannot even climb the steps of the bank premises. In such a scenario, it would be appropriate for bank officials to visit the house of the individual in trouble to ascertain and verify the documents presented.
Under special circumstances special procedure need be followed, so that customers can have easy access to their funds instead of sticking to the rules.
There are rumours doing the rounds that doles cease if not withdrawn every month, a fear which forces me to visit my brank branch, thgough under a strain.
