One has to only look around in Goa to see the extent of devastation of hills, water bodies, fields, etc. that has exponentially increased. Any plan should have been prepared bottom up with the people at the grassroots and discussed by the government versus politicians like TCP minister having an agency to do it. Why is this Pernem zoning plan only being shared after people have started protesting; and why have they been kept in the dark for so long? Should we trust a regional plan done from bottom up with experts or a new zoning plan done by the TCP minister and his self appointed/paid consultant agency? Also, the TCP minister has the habit of accusing/threatening any MLA only when the said MLA protests against his plans; now it's Jit Arolker and an earlier example was Michael Lobo. On a special note to the TCP Minister, please spare Goa this rampant destruction/sale of Goa's scarce land to "money bags" from outside the state. It is obvious to me that the political party and specific politicians will benefit immensely from such large-scale conversion/sell-out of Goa's land.
