State needs laws to protect environment

Goa is known for it's beaches and natural cover whereby it is a perfect destination for a short and long holiday for Indians and tourists across the world. In order to maintain the existing beauty as a tourist destination, we need to protect our architectural houses, monuments, beaches, forests, etc and the government needs to to do a walk the talk by being selective in going for development projects like double tracking, Tanmar project destroying the forest cover and architectural houses respectively and bringing in polluting industries like coal transportation meant for industries in Karnataka. There is also need to protect our forest cover and wild life from deforestation and projects in the name of development. Goa will be staring at climate change sooner or later whereby the State will witness floods and even tsunamis which will cause massive destruction to humans, animals and property hence we need to protect our ecological balance from environmental disaster. The government needs to bring in legislations protecting the environment. Hope and pray the government does the necessary to protect our environment and heritage as done by our ancestors
