It was truly a good decision taken by CM Sawant, the government of Goa, to withdraw the fare hike in the ferry boat service, considering the struggles of the common man in Goa who cross the river daily.
The government has already started its procedure to build new bridges where needed at the ferry boat points, enabling people from one village to connect to another place more easily without facing problems. It is an internal matter, and people from one village to another should understand each other’s situations.
We are not crossing borders of one state to another, but we ask for better service for our own people in Goa to reach other places fast to save time.
We should not fight to stop the good work, especially when the government of Goa is ready to build bridges where there are ferry boat services. Remember that we can meet our loved ones easily when the bridges become a reality and reach our duties on time in cities.
The government of Goa and its departments should immediately stop the ferry boat service where there is already a bridge available because it’s a waste of public hard-earned money that they pay as taxes.
