Minister Mauvin Godinho’s statement asking whether 50,000 illegal houses should be demolished is illogical. All political parties build their vote banks through these illegal houses, and that is why such questions are raised.
Firstly, no Goan would do any illegal construction. People coming from other states cannot afford to buy land or flats here, and politicians support these migrants for their own benefit. No one has the right to encroach on anyone’s property. The government should investigate why the minister has made such a statement. They speak as if nothing wrong has happened.
