The feast of Our Lady of Rosary Church at Navelim. These two festivities celebrated with enthusiasm, vigour and fervour made people realise how Goans are different. We Goans are simple minded folks who love to take part in local festivities and have a great time.
That said, it was a sight to behold on Wednesday when young children and elders alike dressed to the nines thronged the streets and main road of Margao to pay visits to the famous Hari Temple and Our Lady of Rosary Church. The feast at Our Lady of Rosary Church brought forth memories of pre-Covid era. The Hari Temple saw devotees deeply lost in prayer to usher in good days that are full of peace, prosperity and communal harmony. The syncretic culture of Goa pulls at heart strings and leaves the eyes moist. Viva Goa!
