Taliban poses security challenge for India

The rise of Taliban will not only pose an internal security challenge to the BJP government with large scale radicalisation as a first step, it will also embolden Pakistan-based terrorist groups to attack India.  Taliban is a proxy of Pakistan and had been controlling various terror groups. Taliban's economy is primarily based on the production of opium, heroin, and other drugs.  With Pakistan being the mothe land of jihad, it is quite evident that the ISI will be the elephant in Taliban’s jihad control room in Afghanistan and will use the Sunni terrorist group for also settling personal scores in India and its global adversaries.  The Taliban and the JeM are considered ideological comrades and has been active in carrying out terror activities in J & K since it was founded by Masood Azhar and his release in 1999.  India should be on high alert against renewed security threats from the Taliban as well as the Pakistani establishment strengthened by their Afghan takeover.  India has to be prepared for serious security challenges.
