The DoE and the Task Force have passed on total responsibility for the safety and well being of students, to the school heads. Schools must individually decide on offline, online mode and SOPs? When this Govt decides for all what not to eat or gamble? The Health Dept takes full responsibility to monitor de-worming tablet administration but not life threatening Sars CoV2 control? Prior to this, they crookedly influenced the school heads saying 70% students were immune. If this is so, then take the responsibility.
Total failure. If you cannot handle the matter, then resign. Don’t play with people’s lives. Physical classes are a must when conditions are conducive. Social distancing - to what levels - must be clearly specified noting that limited teachers will affect the same. Hence, 20/30/40% students must come by rotation per week, so as to partially mitigate psychological problems. Public transport to and from schools must be specified and classes must include evening batches till 4:30pm. Ventilation must be clearly specified and inspected. School inspectors check on schools for assets but not life-threatening matters. The Task Force is guilty of not disseminating Covid information. School heads do not have access to advice from infectious diseases experts: yet they are tasked with this responsibility?
There can be no other tragic comedy than this. Utter failure of administration.
