With statements like these from the Finance Minister who talks obliquely and besides the point, who would invest given the uncertain state of the economy?

Employment of women apart from other categories has fallen since the pandemic, the number of suicides among unorganised and daily wage workers has increased and the government is doing nothing to address these and other problems.

India continues to slide further on all world rating indices. Production is falling and inflation continues to rise.

The raid raj has returned with more vigour. Hardly a scenario where the industry would decide to invest when they are seeing the government concentrating on event management and photo-ops.
