With a few days left for elections in the five states, there seems to be a huge competition for tickets on all sides.
From Lok Sabha members, Ministers, Governors and other top leaders everyone is seeking a ticket either for his son, daughter or relative.
The BJP has the largest list of sons and daughters asking for tickets. In it, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra is asking for a ticket for his son. Bihar Governor is also wanting a ticket for his relative. Rajnath Singh's Chiranjeev Neeraj Singh is asking for a ticket. UP Assembly Speaker Dixit is asking for a ticket for his son Dilip.
Union Minister of State SP Singh Baghel has asked for a ticket for his wife. BJP MP Rita Bahuguna has asked for a ticket for her son and is ready to resign if time permits from her Lok Sabha seat, and the list goes on.
In Goa, Utpal, son of former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, has resigned over the denial of ticket from Panaji.
The thought that comes to mind is how appropriate is this? Tickets must be received on credit. One should consider the work done by a voter and not just because I am someone's relative.
