There are over 500 candidates contesting for 40 assembly seats in Goa. For the first time, we are seeing a number of political parties from outside the State join in the battle. The objective is to throw out the BJP. But will it help? Sadly, it may not. It will only divide the votes which will help the BJP. Thus it is imperative that villages come together and decide who they need to vote for. It is better to vote for the local candidate rather than the party as going forward it will be regional parties that will do well. Goans must not vote for any of the old timers or those who jumped parties. They have done it in the past they will do it again. Nobody wants to sit in the Opposition. Finally, no point in blaming the politician as it is the people who vote for such people.
