Dabolim Airport is centrally located and convenient to all Goans. I recently travelled internationally via the airport and noticed that while there have been some positive improvements with lighting, better immigration counters and toilets much cleaner.
But overall, based on what I have seen internationally the state of the airport is still very substandard and in a sorry condition!
Some of the things the government has to address immediately in my opinion:
1) The airport parking building is lying unused and an in a deplorable condition for many years.
2) Most if the seats at the departure area are in a horrible state.
3) We are an international destination so why is there no proper lounge at the airport?
4) There is no proper food court in the departure lounge with reputed brands, so what will people who are stuck with delayed flights do?
5) There is no Help Centre or proper public electronic information systems and this can cause unnecessary anxiety and stress to passengers.
The airport to me is a showcase of the huge levels of incompetence, lethargy and lack capabilities. It’s really sad to see the levels of service we get from these elected representatives!
