A huge crowd rallied behind retired former Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, Justice Ferdino Rebello's call for a 'People's Movement to save Goa' and threw a gauntlet at the State's political establishment to immediately repeal Sections 17 (2) and 39 A of the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Act, and other legislations permitting change of zoning, land use and Floor Area Ratio (FAR) at a public meeting held on Tuesday at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji. Well, this clearly shows that many Goans are very much ready to rally behind the right people and still interested in fighting to save what is still left of Goa. Yes, it's time to say "enough is enough" and to keep the momentum going by fully backing/supporting non-political Niz Goemkars like former Justice Ferdino Rebello and fighting to stop the madness of our ruling politicians of auctioning/selling our land to builders lobby, outsiders, halting all types of hill-cutting activities & collectively stopping all the other illegalities which are currently going on in different parts of the state in the name of development to protect Goa's identity for our future generations.
