Tourism minister must focus on basics first

The Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte spends most of his time speaking about new Tourism infrastructure/development, which will not only cost the taxpayers crores but also in quite a few cases are quite controversial in terms of environmental destruction. But, he seems to totally ignore existing tourism infrastructure where with relatively lesser money for basic maintenance and uplift, the overall returns can be quite significant to the exchequer.  Take for instance in Colva,  there is a GTDC Hotel at the most prime location near Colva Beach which I see just "rotting" over so many years.  If this hotel is just kept at basic decent standards I am sure tourists/visitors/businessmen can pay much higher for the services including stays, conventions, meeting hubs etc. And this is just one example I am giving to numerous other degrading touristic structures including shops and other commercial sites. Can I request the Tourism Minister to implement a plan to bring existing tourism infrastructure to decent standards at least? Else it appears to me that the "commissions" are higher to the ruling politicians for new developments as compared to upkeep of existing infrastructure.
