Tourists trashing Goan heritage


It is sad to see the lack of upkeep of our protected heritage sites by the government, and to make matters worse insensitive tourists trash these places with plastic, beer bottles, cigarette butts, food packets etc. 

It is pathetic to see fellow Indians having no respect for their culture and heritage. 

The state authorities should employ tourist police at least at the more frequently visited places to rein in errant visitors by way of pecuniary fines and short term detainment. 

This sorry state of affairs was witnessed at Cabo de Rama.

Once again, it is the education sector that is going to be affected very badly not just in Goa but in the rest of the country as well. Hardly had schools all across the country started returning to normal, the third wave seems to have struck, throwing the world into disarray.
