TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane came out with strict follow up on draft zoning plan. It is learnt that one of the MLAs from North Goa asked to consider a land under 16B and now wants same in zoning plan which he denied . As per TCP minister the plan will be transparent and will consider both objections, suggestions from local panchayats and villagers. He assured that the plan will be drafted as per guidelines and planning of the same will be done taking everyone into confidence and without any personal or vested interest like other ministers. He also showed illegal farmhouse of an MLA in Mandrem constituency and said land grabbing will not be tolerated. As per the plan the villages will not be affected and at Mopa many have objected to give their land for development around the airport. Many feel they are not given actual compensation for the same hence objected to give their land. The present draft zoning plan is under consideration only after due presentation in the village by panchayats and after receiving opinion and suggestions from the locals. Only after getting views from locals, the final draft will be done as per the TCP minister. It's therefore a wait and watch situation until final draft zoning plan is ready.
