Dr Bolmax Fidelis Pereira, lovingly known as Fr Bolmax, was born on April 24, 1976, in Quepem, Goa. He will always be remembered as a dedicated priest, educator, environmentalist, and a courageous son of the soil who tirelessly worked for the welfare of Goa and its people.
As the Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Church, Chicalim, Fr. Bolmax touched countless lives through his spiritual guidance, humility, and service to society. Beyond his pastoral duties, he stood firmly on the front line to protect Goa’s identity, culture, traditions, and environment. He fearlessly raised his voice against projects and activities that threatened the natural beauty and heritage of Goa.
Fr Bolmax was not only a man of faith but also a true fighter for justice and truth. His love for Goa and Goans came from the depths of his heart. He inspired many, especially the youth, to stand up for what is right and to protect the land they call home. Goa has truly lost a strong pillar and a fearless defender. His legacy of courage, service, and love for the people will continue to inspire generations. We Goans will always remember Fr Bolmax in our prayers. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
