A tripartite clandestine deal between the three Sarkar's i.e the Centre, Karnataka and Goa smacks of gross injustice to us. The three had knowingly agreed to a preemptive course of granting DPR to our southern stakeholder as revealed by our Home Minister Amit Shah but hidden to us all. As it appears on the face of it, our petition in the Apex court might not guarantee us positive results as the court battles would get sullied in the wake of this latest development that knowingly our head authority had agreed to granting the said DPR to our neighbour. Unnecessary mass protests will be rekindled and place our peaceful state in a fiery turmoil of unimaginable proportions which should be avoided. An amicable solution must be sought by all like-minded in the interest of common good of all people in the State and neighbourhood without prejudice . There is a need to stress here that diversion of the river will produce widescale famine and extinction of certain species of wild life and scarcity of water in our State.
