It’s sad to see that the Union leader in Margao MunicipalCouncil has gone against few of his own members. The Union leader has givenfalse news and the report has been published in one of the Marathi newspaperswithout knowing the fact or even without enquiring with the Margao MunicipalCouncil chief officer. The thing is that the names of the two daily wages LDCstaffers has been published, who are working there for more than 15 years andwho have their spouses and children as if they have committed a crime. Theissue was that the CO has increased the salaries of those who have completed 10years and above according to the law, rules and regulations. Around 45 employees’salaries have been increased, including these two LDC staffers. But the Unionleader has said that only two LDCs salaries have been increased which is notfair. A leader should be a person who shows the correct way and not misguide orgo against his own members. Fifteen years are long years and a leader shouldnot bring his personal problems, if any, in future.
