Let's compare the good old days in the 60s, when our parents and the grandparents groomed us with Goan ideologies, moral values and with an essence of Goemkarponn - one wonders, why and how it is gradually vanishing? Our voices are subdued while we are introduced as "Goan" when we stand among non-Goan businessmen. Imagining the topic on special status to Goa, when Goa has been slowly been sold out to outsiders. Innocent Goans are conquered by some uncivilized outsiders. Let's not forget that we Goans have been decorated with gold medals in various fields, engaged in development, education and has produced scientists, top military personnel, doctors, entrepreneurs, vocalists, poets, IITians and some holding foreign offices as well, a proud reason for us to stand tall in our own mother land. One wonders, will the poorly painted image from some of those disloyal to Goa, living in our own house get washed away with our NY 2024's resolution "Goemkarponn" - If anyone asks me to describe Goa, it will always be "Goa is, where my heart belongs!"
