A video has recently been circulating on social media with absolute fake and spiteful allegations made against learned judges of Goa by an individual.
The very irresponsible accuser fails to present any evidence to back up his spurious and unfounded allegations against the Judges. The contents of the video is absolute thrash.
Shooting the messenger because you do not like the message should never be the basis for making a video while attempting to tarnish the reputation of judges and the judiciary that people depend on for justice.
Trial by media with malicious videos or throwing stones from a distance maybe the new norm on social media for some. However, this form of cyber abuse always backfires on the maker of the video and discredits his own reputation.
The integrity of the people falsely accused will always remain intact. If the accuser had any evidence he should have placed it before the appropriate authority.
I hope our High Court will not remain a mere spectator but initiate suo-motu contempt proceedings against the author of that malicious video and investigate whether it was a criminal conspiracy. He must be brought to book. A bully won’t stop until he is punished.
