We need to respect our ancestors' properties

Ancestral property, whether it is land or a house where a family tree has grown over centuries? Both movable and immovable assets are inherited through up to four generations of family lineage, creating such a beautiful history of love, unity, and respect among neighbours and family members. These treasures include acquisitions passed down from one's great-grandfather, grandfather, or father with pride living a harmonious life. Preservation of the property's undivided status among family members is paramount; once partitioned, the property loses its ancestral designation and transforms into self-acquired, where one decides to sell it to anyone. Some cases are done so secretly that neighbours or family members are shocked to learn when they read litigation or public notices in local newspapers. Both parties have the blessings of the village panchayat to fast track the process and later act innocent! With due respect to ancestral property, don't we as Goans need to offer the same to family members, neighbours or our own so that the natural culture and heritage remain intact, even if the offer is a bit low?
