Apropos the news item titled “Pope Francis told me invitation to India was ‘greatest gift’: Modi”, we wait in hope to see what gift are we going to give the Pope? Is it going to be persecution and more persecution of Christians and other minorities in the country? How does one explain the ongoing attacks on Christians and Christian institutions and the anti-conversion bill? We would have loved to see some more goodwill in the country. After all, India is a country that celebrates its ‘unity in diversity!’
