With so many scams coming to light, the people of Goa will have to judge which is the biggest one. In terms of the sheer amount involved, the alleged Rs 70 crore PWD recruitment scam is nothing compared to the loot and plunder going on at the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) which doubtlessly is today the mother of all scams.
While in the Opposition, the now Panaji MLA Babush Monserrate, had accused the IPSCDL of being a big den of rampant corruption. Ironically Babush Monserrate and his Mayor son are now directors of that very IPSCDL and virtually manipulating its functioning. There needs to be a probe into those crores being deviously funnelled into the political pockets under the guise of making Panaji a Smart City.
