There is a lot of media attention on Luthra Brothers, the owners of Arpora Nightclub where 25 people lost their lives; latest being the dramatic extradition of the brothers from Thailand to India and the subsequent arrest by the Goa Police. Saying all this, one has to wonder if these owners will actually be prosecuted in fairness to the victims and not to mention severe violations of the local laws. I have strong reservations if justice will actually be served accordingly, because these owners could not have done what they did without the "special relationships" with multiple ministries under the command of Goa's senior ministers. With increased investigation it's very likely that the various people in the ruling political class will also be implicated and could then be liable for prosecution by the law or perhaps even forced to resign from office. So to mitigate all of the possible negative consequences, Goa ruling ministers I believe, will do all in their power to help the Birch owners out of any major punishment and set them scot free or with a small slap on the wrist.
